Those who: - work in a high-paced environment which is everchanging due to advancing technology; - want to be involved in different stages of a patient’s journey including diagnosis of pathologies and treatment. -want the opportunity to learn about different areas of diagnostic imaging in theory and on placement including: general x-ray, accident and emergency, theatre, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Mammography, Radionuclide Imaging, PET, Interventional radiography and Lithotripsy; - are interested in balancing science with high standards of individualised patient care; - want to build a positive, professional relationship with people on a short-term basis, compared to therapeutic radiography, through excellent people and communication skills; - are keen to work within a multidisciplinary team providing healthcare to a diverse range of patients from all backgrounds, many with complex care needs; - want to be responsible for your own decision making when working independently; often in the evening or at night to provide a 24-hour service; - want to be creative in your thinking, problem-solve, and innovative to improve the quality of your own practice and the wider radiography/healthcare service; and - are excited to experience a range of placements in different hospital localities and with different shift patterns: in the city, rural, islands or internationally to develop your adaptability, resilience and readiness to work anywhere in the future If you are excited about entering a healthcare profession which offers you lots of different career opportunities - this is the programme for you!
